Have you ever doubted you ability to create success in your life? The answer might not be what you think.
Just about every morning I do my exercise I always have some kind of educational, motivational or inspirational thing playing in the background so that I pay more attention to that and less of how much exercising makes me sweaty and stinky and this morning it was CD6 of Jim Rohn’s Cultivating an Unshakable Character Recording.
There was a moment while listening to this recording that brought a tear to my eye and it was when Jim was approached by a man who asked him how to make money. Jim asked the man, “OK, how much do you want to make?” to which he expected a vague unspecific answer but was surprised when the man replied with confidence, “I need to make $250,000 for the next 10 years”, a little shocked Jim followed up with, “And why do you want to make that much money?” to which the man replied, “In 10 years time my childeren will be old enough to appreciate the riches and I want to take them on a 12 month holiday they will never forget which I have worked out will require me to earn $250,000 a year for the next decade to achieve”.
There are very few times I feel such emotion but this story had inspired me as that man’s story is similar to my own.
I worked out a few years ago now that motivationally it was extremely hard for me to work for myself and that given the opportunity to work for my future children is far more impactful and inspirational so I made myself and my kids a promise, to be the best and most effective systemic person I can possibly be so that one day I can pass all the wealth and knowledge down to them and leave a legacy.
If you have ever doubted if you are smart enough, strong enough, fit enough or talented enough to make success for yourself, stop it! All you need are some more powerful reasons to achieve these goals and you will be on your way.
